Vision
Suitcase Clinic (Berkeley)
- Optometry program offers free vision screenings on the First Presbyterian Church in Berkeley for low-income and homeless populations. Patients are considered for free eyeglasses.
- People in need of a comprehensive eye exam, if past treatable stage, are referred to the Berkeley Optometry Meredith Morgan Eye Center for a full eye exam including for eye-related diseases, at no cost.
Medi-Cal (Alameda County Wide)
- Routine eye exam and eyeglasses offered once every 24 months for all beneficiaries of Medi-Cal.
- Contact lens testing may be covered if the use of eyeglasses is not possible due to eye disease or condition (i.e., missing an ear).

Dental
La Clínica (Fruitvale Village)
- La Clínica provides low-cost preventive and general dental services for tooth decay and gum disease treatment
- Dental exams, fluoride and sealant treatment, cleaning and polishing, dental hygiene, general dentistry, periodontics, and orthodontics
- Currently services for COVID-19 are restricted for emergencies only. Virtual visits for non-urgent consultations are welcome by first visiting their website
Denti-Cal (Alameda County Wide)
- Denti-Cal is the Medi-Cal Dental Program which covers exams & x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, fillings, root canals in front teeth, prefabricated crowns (stainless steel or tooth colored), and full dentures.

Mental Health (Crisis Support)
Schuman-Liles Clinic (Oakland)
- Low cost psychiatry providing the following outpatient services: schizophrenia, depression, post - traumatic stress disorder, anxiety & phobias, substance abuse, and job stress
- Emphases the patient to learn to manage symptoms of their illnesses so they can lead more active lives in their community
Medi-Cal (Alameda County Wide)
- Inpatient (overnight hospitalization): Beneficiaries receive acute psychiatric hospital services, psychiatric health facility services, and psychiatric inpatient hospital professional services if the patient is in a fee-for-service hospital.
- Outpatient (day treatment): Facilities provide mental health services (assessment, plan development, therapy, & rehabilitation), medication support services, day rehabilitation, crisis (residential, interventional, stabilization), targeted case management, intensive care coordination, and therapeutic foster care for children and youth under the age of 21.

Crisis Support Services (Alameda County Hotline)
- 24-Hour Crisis Line offers confidentiality, teletype (TDD) services for deaf and hearing-impaired callers, and translation in 140 languages.
- Available support groups of homicide survivors, suicide attempters, and grief supports. Register for these groups or call for yourself or loved one.
